"American Health Network is looking for a Medical Assistant or EMT to join their clinical team. In this role, the MA or EMT will be working alongside providers and clinical staff to perform the following functions.

"Primary Responsibilities:
- ""
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilizing equipment ""
- Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKGs ""
- Administer injections and collect specimens ""
- Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software ""
- Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork ""
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with minor, in-office procedures "

"Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Degree or basic EMT Certification
- Ability to commute to the office locations
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA)
- EMR/EHR experience
- Experience with NextGen medical record software
- CPR certification
- Experience with medical front office and back office duties
- Additional healthcare certifications including ARRT, CEHRS, CBCS, CMAA, CPT
