As the Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will be responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with medical thought leaders involved in various phases of product development; as well as key medical organizations, established societies and associations, and payer groups.


MSLs provide medical information through scientific exchange in a fair-balanced manner and provide clinical/scientific and medical support to the company. This position requires a professional with established personal and scientific/medical credibility to interact with thought leaders and key medical organizations.


This MSL position will support companys products in development and existing brands as their primary responsibility.




  • Develop peer-level relationships with medical and scientific experts, interpret and effectively communicate relevant medical and scientific literature and present complex medical and scientific ideas fluently to internal and external audiences.

  • Attend major conferences, symposiums, advisory board programs and congresses to provide medical and scientific support to internal and external customers

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams by providing medical and scientific expertise; maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of disease state, clinical information, and product data within Sebelas key therapeutic areas; support and facilitate medical communications and publications

  • Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, community, healthcare provider, and payer settings

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Operations organization to support company-sponsored clinical trials as requested

  • Management and involvement in Scientific Advisory Boards

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to contribute to publication planning activities

  • Act as liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator initiated research.

  • Provide timely feedback/information on emerging clinical/scientific teams and opportunities to internal stakeholders

  • Provide scientific support for appropriate educational initiatives

  • Provide scientific support for diligence activities as they pertain to business development projects

  • Ensure all activities are compliant with federal and local regulations and company policies and standard operation procedures

  • Help in scientific and medical education of Sebelas sales and marketing groups


  • Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience in a relevant clinical specialty (MD, PhD, PharmD, RN)

  • The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years experience in an MSL or Medical Affairs role, preferably in Womens Health and Gastroenterology

  • Must be science oriented and be able to prioritize and work effectively in a constantly changing environment

  • Solid understanding of the healthcare landscape and current trends/priorities/regulations impacting the market

  • Proven track record of success in establishing and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

  • Demonstrated experience effectively presenting clinical/scientific information required

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate an understanding of the healthcare industry; understanding of clinical trial design and working knowledge of GXP guidelines.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with strong business skills/acumen

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including ability to present to groups of varying sizes

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new subject areas and environments and effectively communicate that information

  • Preferably, this position will be based in the Roswell, GA office. Consideration will also be given to applicants located near Braintree, MA or other remote locations.

  • Ability to travel (up to 60% travel required) with overnight stays as necessary.


  • The candidate demonstrates strong understanding of FDA processes, guidelines and requirements.

  • The candidate will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • The candidate should have ability to make appropriate decisions, prioritizations and work independently.
