\u003Cdiv data-field=\u0022Position_Description\u0022 class=\u0022Summary\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPOSITION PURPOSE\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EMerchandising Execution Area Supervisors (MEAS) directly supervise the activities of Merchandising Execution Associates \u003Cbr /\u003E(MEAs) as they merchandise and maintain various product sets in The Home Depot retail environment to enhance the customer experience, increase sales, and maximize inventory turns. MEASs direct the work priorities of MEA teams (7-15 associates) based on the directives of the Merchandising Execution Manager (MEM), while builiding and maintaining strong relationships with HD store personnel to execute merchandising strategy. MEASs service a multi-store territory which will require daily travel to different store locations.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E40% - Supervise the work activities of MEAs within his/her area. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Communicate store and MET objectives to MEAs using the appropriate programs and tools. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Train, and develop MEAs within the work team, through the management of training calendar and curriculum. Engage in \u003Cbr /\u003Ecoaching for the developemnt of MEAs. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Participate in the interview process for hiring of new MEAs and partner with MEM on recommendations. o Provide input into \u003Cbr /\u003Eappropriate discipline decisions related to MEAs. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Provide input to the MEM on performance appraisals of MEAs and make recommendations on promotion of associates in his/her area. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Assist MEAs with merchandising bays, set compliance with planogram, replacing labels, packdown, and building displays. \u003Cbr /\u003E 20% - Partner with store leaders to execute merchandising strategies. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Follow up on assigned activities of the MEAs in his/her area and ensure execution of projects and general service ctivities \u003Cbr /\u003Ein relation to MET standards. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Monitor set compliance with planogram, ensure merchandise is displayed in a neat and appealing \u003Cbr /\u003E- Monitor and engage the team during focus packdown activities, overhead organization and display builds. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Ensure that POP and signage is ordered and properly set according to planogram. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Partner with store leadership to markdown all damaged or un-sellable merchandise. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Provide direction on cross-merchandising activities in accordance with Merchandising Action Planner (MAP). \u003Cbr /\u003E 20% - Report productivity data and project completion via interactive systems and tools. \u003Cbr /\u003E- Monitor and review timekeeping, expenses and training data on Associates. \u003Cbr /\u003E 10% - Plan and direct MEAs in execution of seasonal reset activities.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ENATURE AND SCOPE\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EPosition reports to Merchandising Execution Manager (MEM) \u003Cbr /\u003EAccountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is \u003Cbr /\u003Erequired. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Experience in the Merchandising Execution Associate (MEA) position \u003Cbr /\u003E3. Experience working in retail merchandising service industry or working directly for large scale retailer. \u003Cbr /\u003E4. Basic computer skills with knowledge of web-based applications. \u003Cbr /\u003E5.
