Overview This position contributes to the success of PepsiCo by supervising the day-to-day warehouse operations. Responsibilities include cost efficiency, continuous improvement on processes, service, and safety for an entire business unit across one shift. The Mfg Whse Sr Resource coordinates the receiving, shipping, and material handling responsibilities in the warehouse by supporting the L06 warehouse supervisors as well as the frontline staff. This person would managed the night shift team with high emphasis on DSD. Responsibilities Achieve warehouse reliability goals, Productivity, Waste Reduction metrics and AOP variable costs targets Provide a positive work environment consistent with PepsiCo Values, leveraging diversity and inclusion to gain competitive advantage in people capability and work force effectiveness. Ability to lead various plant teams Ability to manage and communicate effectively with direct reports as well as present information and effectively communicate upwards. Maintain and deliver a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Manage our DSD operation and staff. Maintain quality standards of finished product Manage the receiving and delivery of raw materials/finished products in a timely manner Utilize docks, warehouse layout, and route truck loading patterns that minimize loading time Ensure the optimal inventory levels of full goods are maintained in order to fulfill daily sales needs Provide timely service to sales department while minimizing warehouse and production costs Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals Achieves operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly and selected salaried personnel Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements. Develops and implements warehouse operations system improvements by leading continuous improvement projects as assigned and by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout. Motivate team members to achieve plan goals Maintain the inventory system to aid in production scheduling Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards and training Identify and execute productivity opportunities to help facility meet annual operating plan Administer policies and procedures Regular and predictable attendance at the work site This role requires regular presence on the plant floor This role requires lifting up to 40 lbs. occasionally This role requires occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow. This role may operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally This role may require off-shift and weekend work This role may require some travel (less than 5%) Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred 2+ years of warehouse or logistics experience preferred Demonstrated supervisory, planning and organization skills Microsoft Suite including Excel comprehension preferred Ability to give and receive constructive feedback Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills The position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States Covid-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment dependent on role and location.
