Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region.

Nurses provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Nurses provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care and the nurse will demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

The Home Health Manager is a registered professional nurse who provides oversight of all patient care services and personnel. Primary function is the day-to-day direction of operations and clinical services to ensure quality care and efficient operations. Coordinates care with the Home Health Administrator, interdisciplinary team, patient, family, and referring agency. Works in collaboration with the Administrator to implement and evaluate strategic plans, operations, financial budget, reimbursement, and customer service. Oversees QI issues and directs staff with regard to agency policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with accurate and timely documentation of services, adequate staff, and staff evaluations. Maximizes human, financial, and equipment resources. May also be called the Supervising Nurse or Clinical Manager within the home health agency. Assumes Alternate Administrator role in the Administrator's absence. The supervising nurse, or alternate, must be available to agency personnel at all times in person or via telecommunications.

Job Requirements

A current Oklahomanursing license or compact is required upon hire. BSN preferred. RN licensure valid for the state in which all services are provided

Minimum 3 years experience as a registered nurse and one year experience in home health care required. Management experience preferred.

Must comply with required training and licensure for Administration of Agencies as described in OklahomaAdministrative Code, Chapter 97 and licensure required for Home Health Administrators for any other states in which services are provided.

Valid driver's license, proof of automobile liability insurance.

AHA BLS at hire.

Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served

Excellent clinical skills; secure in decision making and working independently. Has in depth knowledge and experience regarding licensing standards (both state and Joint Commission), and all local, state, and federal laws relating to all the operations of the agency. Must have in depth knowledge of the home health payment system, OASIS, and coding for home health. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, the lay and professional public, and Medical Director. Is proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must be able to communicate in oral and written communication forms.
