The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

The MMIS SME / Business & Technical Analyst is responsible for advising the client on standard methodologies, implementation methodologies based on business process analysis, business analysis, or technical analysis. You will use your deep industry and domain expertise to advise on implementing required functionality. You'll be responsible for business analysis that includes gathering and documenting requirements, and/or analyzing and designing system functionality. System functionality could include one or more software components or business process adjustment recommendations.

This position is located in Tallahassee, FL.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 7+ years of experience in system design and integration projects, including the technical design, development, and System Integration of Medicaid, MMIS, and Integrated Eligibility Systems.
  • Experience must involve directing multi-discipline technical teams producing integration solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management and managing teams of 10 or more people.
  • 5+ years of experience in Health and Human Services domain.
  • 5+ years of experience in MMIS projects as a SME.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in JAD facilitation.
  • 5+ years of experience requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Demonstrated communication, facilitation and presentation skills.



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 10+ years of experience in MMIS projects as a SME.
  • Preference given for a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 10+ years of knowledge/experience of end to end MMIS process including Enrollment, Member Management, Claims Processing, Provider Management, Contract Management, Fee for Service, Managed Care, Pricing HMO, HHS (HIX/HIT) Integration, EDW.
  • 10+ years of experience with requirements management tool(s).
