The Mobile Quality Engineer role combines a focus in"software quality and testing as well as review and analysis of business"requirements by ensuring adherence to quality standards and practices defined"by our company. This position is heavily involved in developing and executing a"multifaceted testing approach including functional/system testing, integration"testing, service level testing via Ready API, end to end testing, exploratory"testing and regression. We emphasize collaboration across multiple feature and"support teams to deliver quality integrated products.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Design test plans, scenarios, maintain scripts and procedures"based on business

  • Perform" functional, application and regression, to ensure that developed products" meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits" and standards
  • Strong" knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Test iOS & Android mobile applications by building test cases"also automating the functionality for regression testing

  • Maintain Test suites on a regular basis for both for automation"and manual

  • Create and execute test scripts in Appium or"similar mobile automation tools

  • Spinning up devices in Sauce Labs

  • Should have Exposure to Quality Center/Defect Management tool"JIRA.

  • Understanding of Verification and Validation process

  • Experience with Agile software development lifecycle

  • Collaborate with product development team to plan new features

  • Participate in planning and grooming meeting

  • Work cross functionally to resolve complex problems

  • Stay current with new technology trends

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience including a minimum of 2 years' experience in software testing

  • 2 years minimum experience in any test automation tool like Appium, Robot etc. and developing testing scripts using Java, JavaScript or other programming language

  • Thorough understanding of SDLC, specifically automated QA processes in agile development environments

  • Proficiency creating and executing test scripts in Appium or similar mobile automation tools

  • Experience with code configuration management tool GitHub

  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations.

  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas, In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient with test automation approaches and processes (tools/technology preferences include Cucumber, Selenium, Docker, Git, CI/CD, and JIRA)

  • Knowledge of React.js, and Sapper is a plus.
  • Experience working with continuous integration tools to monitor test automation using Azure DevOps

  • Prior experience with Salesforce environment
  • Experience writing tests that exercise Cloud based/SaaS applications
