GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Establishes and optimizes molding setup an operation to yield consistent qualifies injection molding production to standard.  Supports Supervision of production activities of the shift in the manufacturing area for the desired quality and quantity of work. 




 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Analyzes and resolves work problems, while developing their team members to solve their own work problems and improve the individuals performance and productivity.

  2. Verifies with Production Manager that materials require to meet production goals and all corresponding production paperwork on hand.

  3. Works in conjunction with Operators, Process Engineer, and Quality Auditor to interpret specifications, blueprints, and determine if parts produced meet those specifications.

  4. Monitor production board and production priorities for organization of duties based on changes that occur on their shift as well as organizes work for smooth operations.

  5. Schedule the assignment of duties to assure the proper utilization of production personnel to maintain production schedules and production quality. Recommends adjustments to work procedures to meet production schedules as well as recommends measures to improve production methods and working conditions, equipment performance, and work team efficiency.

  6. Initiates or suggest plans to motivate team members to achieve work goals. Assist Engineering Department in problem solving as required. Reviews process instructions to ensure clarity for operators.

  7. Performs preliminary troubleshooting of processes. Analyses mechanical and operational problems, plans for ad takes corrective action.






 


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. equivalent of four years in high school, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
