Your Role and Responsibilities
The Network Engineer provides 8x5 support for LAN / WAN and VoIP. Responsibilities include the implementation of network technologies as well as day-to-day operations and change management of all deployed network technologies as described below:

Roles and Responsibilities:

- 3rd level Technical support for LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure, for domestic customers.
- Expertise in the maintenance techniques required for IP networks and Cisco hardware and software.
- Change management for the network infrastructures: scheduling, preparation and implementation of various network related changes;
- Expertise utilizing and configuring network monitoring and configuration tools such as Solarwinds, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, SD Wan Fortinet, Cisco Meraki and Cisco CUCM.
- Expertise with controller based wireless network standards and best practices, and the ability to monitor and troubleshoot these networks (Cisco wireless LAN controllers/Access points).
- Basic scripting techniques and the ability to automate processes to implement and manage the network environment effectively.
- Ability to work effectively with external vendors.
- Experience with syslog, netflow, and other tools to monitor network performance.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related technical area.
Knowledge and operational experience of network products such as Cisco, Juniper, F5, PaloAlto, Extreme.
CCNA or equivalent (CCNP/JNCIP, CCIE/JNCIE certification, or equivalent would be a great plus);
ITIL certification is a plus.
Availability for on-call duty.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact with up levels.
- As an essential function of this position, the employee must be able to handle high levels of stress satisfactorily and be congenial with other employees and customers at all times.
