Our Defense Team supports our Nations warfighters, providing, operating and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of military operations. In addition, the 5G JBLM AR/VR project is to design and implement 5G solutions at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA and Orlando, FL that the US Army can use to train our military warfighters using iMILES and IVAS glasses.


AT&T has an opening for Network Technician to support the design, testing, implementation, and execution in providing overall engineering and management support for numerous 5G mobility technical solutions for the US government.


**Job Duties/Responsibilities:**


+ Assist with project design and development efforts

+ Basic 5G industry knowledge

+ Basic Mobility Network knowledge

+ Multi-Edge Access Compute (MEC) knowledge

+ Mobility CORE knowledge

+ Test/Troubleshoot Networks and Network Performance

+ Time Management

+ Scheduling of reporting/risk management


**Required Clearance:** Not required by govt prefer Secret. Interim Secret or the ability to clear for secret is acceptable


**Required Qualifications:**


+ Primary role is to assist in the design, planning, implementation and testing of various 5G Network Enhancements to improve the efficiency of 5G technical operations in a lab environment moving to a live training environment.

+ Key Roles and Responsibilities: Candidate should have a thorough knowledge and a multi-branched background that includes expertise from the fields of information technology, mobility, network engineering, and information security. General understanding of various 5G technologies to assist in the conceptual design and development of requested enhancements.

+ Education: Typically requires a BS/BE degree in computer science, cybersecurity or related IT fields.

+ Experience: Typically requires a minimum of four years program related experience and prior technician experience.


**Desired Qualifications:** Understanding of PEO STRIs overall mission. Ability to be self-sufficient with minimal instruction from direct management but with an ability to interact with DoD and other military officials as needed. Proven experience as network technician or relevant position. Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills. Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies. CCENT/CCNA qualifications are strongly preferred. Other preferred certs include: 1) Network engineer certifications such as CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional Security), 2) CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), 3) CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
