New Product Introduction & Product Lifecycle Program Manager

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for continuously improving the cost and quality performance metrics and the entire lifecycle management of the commodities/peripherals. You will coordinate the following but not limited to: MCN's, Supply Chain Changes, Compliance, LTB's, Risk Management, EOL strategy, Sustaining Product Customer partner concerns/Issues etc.

This role will also have an NPPM aspect to it. As an NPPM you will be accountable for overall coordination of product line introduction with heavy emphasis on all development activities from pre-concept commit to Time To Quality and Volume (TTQV). Your main responsibility includes the following:

  • Engages with the Engineering product team prior to concept commit to scope project and build robust project plan.
  • Leads the lifecycle of the product insuring compliance to all the defined quality gates.
  • Leads manufacturing multi-functional team to ensure that performance metrics for scope, cost, quality and Time To Market (TTM) are met.
  • Drive prototype and pilot builds, including cost and quality expectations. Reviews and influences manufacturing capacity/capability, design stability, and risk planning.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes risk mitigation strategies (multi-source tech assessment, component, cost variance, supply chain review, and input).

You will work with the following multi-functional teams: SCPM's, PE's, MPa, CDO, Mfg Ops, Prod Marketing, GSM, Quality, Offer Enablement.

Required minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and 2 years NPI, Program &/or Project Management experience. MBA or MS degree a plus
  • Background in Prod/Mfg Operations, Quality & Supply Chain Management
  • Experience of working in a New Product Introduction (NPI) MFG environment with Contract Manufacturers and ODM/JDM suppliers.
  • Excellent executive level communication and influencing skills
  • Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management from FCS to End of Life
  • Functional knowledge of product development methodologies (IE. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of different manufacturing and fulfillment models (i.e. EMS, OEM/ODM/JDM, Build-To-Stock, Software fulfillment, Country enablement)
  • Awareness and familiarity with software consumption models and tools (i.e. XaaS, Flexible Consumption Models, Cloud providers, Software Licensing, New Offer Structures)
  • Experience with data analytic tools (e.g. Tableau, Smartsheet, etc.) to apply to business problems
