We have an exciting opportunity for a new role as LCBE Optimization Manager. This person will be a key member of the LCBE Optimization team and will be reporting to VP, LCBE Optimization.  This role will support optimization and business process transformation projects across LCBE department by leading business process analysis, data analysis and implementation support.   This role will participate in process analysis, design or redesign of multiple, integrated work flows and processes to ensure that processes are optimized, customer focused, consistent, effective and efficient. As part of optimization exercise this role will work closely with resources in different groups of Law and Compliance functions across business units and take a key role in providing guidance in information gathering and compilation, documentation of processes, conducting business analysis, summarization of assessment and recommendations to help make optimization decisions. This position will also be responsible for facilitating the execution of the optimization initiatives.  Expertise in handling multiple projects across numerous stakeholder groups is required.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and assess current processes to identify trends and opportunities for optimization and transformation

  • Conducting interviews with functional SMEs for data and information gathering and documentation

  • Analyze data for activity effort assessment, process variations, process complexity, operational gaps and inefficiencies

  • Help develop business cases for optimization initiatives

  • Responsible for driving implementation and roll-out of optimization changes including: appropriately documenting process and procedures, communicating changes to stakeholders and providing training, if necessary

  • Must work out of the Newark office 5 days/week 



  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 3 years of experience in transformation/optimization exercise, business process analysis, process data assessment and activity effort estimates

  • 5 years in insurance industry experience required

  • Minimum 3 years experience in working closely with any operations organization

  • Experience in working in Law or Compliance department is preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and writing skills and ability to influence others

  • Possess strong collaboration skills to partner across the organization on business initiatives

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing projects and deliverables

  • Ability to independently lead projects meeting or exceeding established deliverable dates

  • Experience in working with vendors and IT partners

  • Experience in providing end user training
