 What Youll Do:

  • This position centers around partner Lifecycle practice development, leading partners to build out and scale recurring revenue business models based on Cisco Services and Software. 
  • Engage partners to define new Services capabilities and capacity for new technologies and services as well as improving existing services. 
  • Senior level relationship building, effective communication and presentation skills as well as an intimate knowledge of Ciscos services/software offerings and channel partner environment. 
  • Educate the key, relevant decision makers/influencers at our strategic partners on the benefits and financial impact of building a robust lifecycle practice inclusive of Cisco.
  • Work with partners to develop their Cisco lifecycle practices by guiding them through the certification processes, maximize Ciscos partner profitability programs, enabling partner sales teams to hunt and identify opportunities and provide channel facing sales support.
  • Execute onsite consultative workshops focused on partners macro business level initiatives and practice specific development that result in tighter integration between the partner and Cisco.

Who Youll Work With:

  • Relationship Management at the executive, senior management and practice levels;
  • Develop and maintain partner relationships at all levels with a focus on generating new business opportunities
  • Align relationships at the executive levels and facilitate the interlock between partner resources and Cisco counterparts to drive growth
  • Advocate Partner inclusion in working groups like CPEE, SPAB, CCAB, POAB, etc. where new programs and offers are unveiled for consideration and feedback
  • Collaborate with partners on execution of key business development priorities as jointly defined with the partner
  • Advocate partners capabilities to internal Cisco services, sales, business units and customers both inside and outside of Cisco in an effort to raise awareness of partner coverage and capacity
  • Build joint business plans with the partner to capture new market opportunities that maximum revenue share and margin
  • Accelerate Partner self-sufficiency via process improvements, tools awareness/training, and development of repeatable methodology

Who You are:

  • 5+ Years working in a Channel Partner role with senior level exposure
  • Strategic Business Planning: Demonstrating significant knowledge of Cisco and the industry; developing strategies that leverage core strengths of ones own group and Cisco.
  • Business and Financial Acumen: Understanding basic business mathematics, financial strategies, and performance indicators, and applying that knowledge to partners economic and buying environment.
  • Building Influential Relationships: Working collaboratively with channel partners, and account team members to meet business goals and objectives; using appropriate communication methods to influence others and establish relationships
  • Negotiation: Effectively exploring interests and options to reach outcomes that gain the agreement and acceptance of all parties by using legitimate data, objective criteria to support ones proposal.
  • Project Management Skills: Developing project plans and revising them as needed in response to obstacles; identifying and marshaling resources to implement plans; managing, monitoring, and communicating progress and parameters to team members and stakeholders.
  • Goal Alignment: Creating a line of sight between own and others objectives and those of the business unit as driven by strategy, maintain consistency between individual and organizational goals, and realign goals in response to the changing realities of the marketplace and the competitive landscape.
