The Business Entity:

As Partner Business Manager for Security, you will be responsible for the Channel Go-To-Market activities for our Security architecture and cross-architecture priorities through the German Partner landscape. Demonstrating an understanding of business transformation, you will position our Security platform approach and driving it into our existing and potential new partners in close alignment with the German Architecture teams for Security, POG (Partner Organization Germany) and EMEAR.


The Team:


The POG Acceleration Team is responsible to create, design, plan, and drive execution of scaling Partner Go-to-Market plans, linked to inputs from Market, EMEAR, Architectures, Regional Sales Teams, Partner Organization and Marketing.

For the execution of the GTM plans and the defined initiatives, the team works closely with the Channel Partner teams (PAMs), the architecture teams and the Cisco sales teams.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • In the position of the Partner Business Manager for Security, you will be responsible for the following tasks

  • Understand and articulate Ciscos vision, strategy and Security platform approach

  • Develop overall Architecture GTM plan for Security in collaboration with the architecture teams, POG and partners, including KPIs and review structure

  • Leverage install-base reports to Plan/Build/Run/Optimize Campaigns in close collaboration with sales and architectures, partner, marketing team and selected focus partner

  • Provide cross architecture thought leadership related to Partner Strategy

  • Build and drive a consistent Security Partner Enablement plan together with the German Architecture teams, addressing both, our sales and technical partner stakeholders.

  • Drive Security business and support Security Business Plan with all major partners & distributors in alignment with the architecture teams

  • Build the bridge between POG and the Security architecture team and make sure that the POG community is aware of all relevant activities for their partners incl. communication of Partner Enablement activities

  • Leverage relevant acceleration programs like Big Bets (Partner Accelerating Funds), Sprint Campaigns, Lifecycle Advisor, Ice-Breaker to drive transformation towards Security Platform and Recurring Offers within the German partner landscape.

  • Ensure integrated communications about all relevant topics to our channel landscape while leveraging new media platforms

  • Be central point of contact for all Security related German Partner activities for Architecture Teams, POG and EMEAR Channel Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Senior / Experience and proven record in building a scaling GTM with partners and distribution

  • Strong sales background with the ability to translate outcome-based requirements into Cisco solutions

  • Ability to position our Security portfolio

  • Strong team player, ability to motivate distributed teams also in a matrix organization

  • Experience in working with EMEAR and WW teams

  • Strong communicator and presenter, ability to speak to bigger groups.

  • Strong operational skills, ability to execute agreed programs

  • Ability to build a strategic partner and regional business plan

  • The ability to understand & add value to the partners business model

  • Advanced degree is preferred along with at least 3 years of related sales experience

  • Strong Get it done attitude

  • The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
