The NKF Patient Programs Manager will provide management and technical support for NKFs patient and community education programs. Key programs include The Big Ask: The Big Give transplant education programs, as well as Online Communities and other projects. These programs are designed to provide education and support to all people affected by kidney disease, with a special emphasis on patients in need of a transplant and those interested in becoming living donors.

As NKF Patient Programs Manager, youll collaborate with multiple departments within the organization. You can expect to work closely with Programs and IT teams to manage and run existing programs, as well as executing improvement projects. You will also have the opportunity to support our NKF field offices in their execution of patient education events focused on transplantation by creating and maintaining clear resources and procedures to support our participants and partners.

In this position, you should feel comfortable learning how to use a variety of online systems, though extensive technical or coding experience is not required. You should have some experience working in Excel or other data analysis tools. Ideally, you will also have worked in a learning management system before in some capacity.

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and management support for patient and community programs, including BABG education programs, online education, Online Communities, and other team projects.
  • Maintain project and program management tools, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Asana, and tracking of grants and partnerships.
  • Manage tools and processes to support NKF field offices, including intranet resources, calendars of events, and impact reports.
  • Track and analyze program data and metrics.
  • Generate and update impact reports for HQ and field offices annually and on a regular basis.
  • Design and draft content for surveys, presentations, resources for NKF field offices, and other documents.
  • Manage and maintain on-demand training modules on NKFs online learning management system/education platform.
  • Collaborate with IT, Salesforce and program staff to establish, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve systems and processes for programs.
  • Manage program orientation process for new hires.
  • Manage Independent Living Donor Advocate listserv and answer questions.
  • Provide superior project management support for programs, ensuring that timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Demonstrate consistent quality of administration, communications and systems.
  • Perform additional duties as required.


  • Minimum of 2 years project management or related job experience.
  • Some data/statistical analysis experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable learning and working in multiple software platforms required, ideally with experience in a learning management system.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of an integrated, remote team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with healthcare, kidney disease, or transplantation preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
