Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager 2 for Olathe Medical Center, located in Olathe, KS.


The Patient Services Manager 2 will oversee Sodexo's Food and Nutrition department at Olathe Medical Center, a 308-bed acute care hospital located in Olathe, KS (20 minutes south of Kansas City, MO). This position will support the Patient Services Room Service program in collaboration with the Clinical Nutrition Manager. 


The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise, schedule, train and develop forty (40) food service workers.  
  • Oversee Sodexos Room Service Program (Host to Host program)
  • Implement/conduct performance improvement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop training platforms, oversee Food Service Regulatory and Compliance, and initiative quality improvement programs.
  • Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient Services Program targeted to exceed patient and customer satisfaction;
  • Oversee Sodexos Patient Dining Program and daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery;
  • Collaborate with clinical, food service, and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience;
  • Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation and tray accuracy;
  • Exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits; and/or
  • Perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development.
  • Experience as a Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietetic Technician preferred

  • Collaborate with the Patient Services Manager at Miami County Medical Center
  • Directly report to the Operations Manager at Olathe Medical Center

Position Summary

Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company. Key Duties- Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

- Performs audits and prepares reports. 




Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceBasic Management Experience - 2 yearsBasic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
