This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information. It's a fast paced, high volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life-saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate information
  • Contacting patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve prescription issues, clinical needs, and/or claims issues
  • Processing prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
  • Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
  • Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record
  • Completes patient orders by selecting medications as indicated on the patient medication profile
  • Answers phones in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Attends to customers in a timely manner.
  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned by Pharmacy management.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma / GED (or higher) or equivalent work experience
  • Current State of Texas Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Current national pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to obtain additional state technician licenses as required according to the needs of the business
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system application
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy / prescription data entry / call center experience
