The successful candidate will play an integral role in a fully funded project to explore the role of epigenetic and/or cell cycle regulators in development of cancer and to further our understanding of chromatin biology, cell cycle regulation, intrinsic immune responses, and other areas of emerging science. While performing independent, colleagues focusing on target identification and validation, hit discovery, as well as pre-clinical animal studies and safety, with the goal of making clinically relevant, groundbreaking discoveries and publishing in high-impact journals.

Demonstrate deep scientific and technical expertise to advance our understanding in the fields of DNA damage response, chromatin biology, cell cycle regulation and/or immunology, produce high-impact publications, present at top caliber conferences and ultimately contribute to the delivery of novel mechanisms and life-changing therapies to patients.

Independently design and test biological hypotheses, while also leveraging the breadth of expertise available from other Postdoctoral Fellows and subject matter experts across Pfizer and the external collaborative network.

Execute targeted in vitro and in vivo experiments, while leveraging state of the art technologies and resources to address fundamental questions about target biology and uncover novel therapeutic angles.

Generate, organize, analyze, interpret data, and identify areas where key knowledge is lacking. Proactively seek new scientific leads via genetics & AI-based resources, literature, conferences and key opinion leaders with the goal of refining scientific hypothesis and expediting experimental plans.

Effectively communicate results at internal and external events and proactively contribute to the continued scientific growth at Pfizer.

Significant expertise with an array of molecular and cell biology methods, including genome editing techniques, development of disease-relevant cell-based assays, high-content imaging analysis, protein and chromatin biochemistry, chromatin immunoprecipitation assays and sequencing, immune cell isolation, multi-color flow cytometry, in vitro immune cell functional assays, or in vivo models for oncology and other therapeutic areas.

Must have excellent organizational and planning skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team.

Excellent verbal and written communication, and strong motivation. Able to master new concepts and techniques quickly.

Preference for candidates with a strong track record in cancer biology with emphasis on the molecular, genetic, or pharmacologic interrogation of biology focused on the cell cycle, DNA damage signaling, or epigenetics in cancer

Experience applying computational integrative approaches to biologic interrogation
