District Photo Inc. is now hiring Press Room Operators/Technicians for Mid and Night Shifts for our upcoming HOLIDAY SEASON! POSITIONS START NOW!

Our operators are the heart of District Photo to make it all happen!  If you answered YES to any of these questions, then we want to hear from YOU. We are seeking high-energy individuals to work in our production facility producing memory items such as photo books, calendars, cards, and many other items for the upcoming holiday season.


The type of daily tasks you will perform as a Press Room Operator are as follows:

  • Check equipment for acceptable quality.           
    • Inspected produced orders for spots, dots, scratches, streaks, miss-registration. And poor color.
  • Operators will work in Date Rotation.
    • Work with your supervisor to ensure that all products are produced in the correct orders
  • Operators are expected to fill out all of the required paperwork.
    • Inspect Operator's log sheets for errors.
  • Report any quality or productivity concerns to your Supervisor.
    • If productivity or quality problems are discovered report them to your supervisor immediately.
  • Ensure that orders are loaded and staged correctly.
    • Check stacking and staging of products to ensure they are stacked in date rotation and by-product types.
  • Goes to lunch so that there is no loss of productivity.
    • Use a log sheet to determine when you leave and come back from your lunches.
  • Review hourly productivity and quality data with your supervisor.
    • Review with Supervisor hourly productivity and quality performance.
  • Maintain substrates and supplies.
    • Using OTJ training to locate and replenish substrates and supplies.
  • Complete end of shift paperwork and housekeeping assignments.
    • Review with supervisor daily events and recommendations for improvements.
    • Review with the Operators their end of shift paperwork and housekeeping.

Requirements

  • Be able to lift 50+ lbs
  • Prior experience working in warehouse or manufacturing type environments
  • Be mechanically inclined 
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Arrive on time each and every day and be ready to work
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Each shift requires standing for 12 hours at a time
  • Practice safe working habits

Hours

Open positions are being filled now for our November and December mid and night shifts. Shifts hours and start times vary and are as follows: It is important that you are flexible with your shift hours. 

  • Mid Shift (Start times are either 1 pm, 2 pm,  2:30 pm. 3 pm or 4pm) 
  • Night Shift (Start times are either 9 pm, 10pm, 10:30 pm, 11 pm, or 12 am)

It is important that you understand overtime will be required and beginning the week of Thanksgiving we will work 7 days a week. It is a great opportunity to make money for the holidays and pay off holiday bills!!

Pay

These temporary positions. Pay is based on experience , starting at $13.00 per hour and the positions start now and will run through December.


IMPORTANT
Interviews will be conducted by telephone and face to face. Social distancing practices are in place.  All interviewees will be required to wear a mask when entering the building and participating in an interview.  

You must demonstrate valid legal work documents in the interview to show you are authorized to work in the United States and for proof of identity. Documents include a copy of your social security card, passport, driver's license, etc. 

Face to face interviews are conducted M-F from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
