Principal-Business Management

**Overall Purpose**

Critical role on our Solution Labs team to drive the strategy for our Design Thinking organization model, partner with the Business Units on key initiatives and facilitate cross function meetings. The manager will apply human behavior principles and methodologies to research problems across CS&O and drive for solutions to these challenges. Develops user-experience research plans, collects data, moderates design testing sessions, facilitates workshops with internal and external stakeholders and delivers research reports based on an understanding of how to interpret design principles and standards to evaluate effective designs.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities:**

+ Requires design thinking knowledge.

+ Can independently manage multiple projects, as well as a team of people.

+ Responsible for advising and decision-making on AT&T processes, roles and resources related to design.

+ Has facilitation experience managing large diverse groups of teams.

+ Manage the coordination of a multi-disciplinary team of architects, technologists and business experts in a way that leads to bold ideas and mission effectiveness as well as operational efficiency

+ Design, plan and execute user research

+ Synthesize and communicate research insights and findings in compelling and immersive ways, using a variety of mediums

+ Craft compelling stories and visual models to communicate discoveries

+ Support and lead client-facing conversations that may challenge established perspectives on processes, systems and customers

+ Work side-by-side with account leaders to set project direction and to identify new business opportunities direction and to identify new business opportunities

**Education:** Bachelors of Science in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science or Engineering preferred.

**Experience:** 8-10 years experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role. Supervisory: No.

**Functional Skills / Competencies associated with this Title**

2. CS&O background

3. Process and/or Design Thinking skills
