What You'll Do

The Foundational & Government Security (FGS) Group seeks an experienced leader that will work with technical and business leaders across multiple fields to lead and guide the organization through ASICs, Optics and Circular economy with its intersection in topics of trust, differentiation and market enablement, with an initial focus in mid-long term planning for the new component business model.

The ideal candidate has solid roots in, SW and HW product development, and secure technologies, mature experience in team leadership, business models and an aptitude for translating business and technical requirements into roadmap development and execution plans.

  • This role requires partnering with multiple areas across the FGS organization and Product Teams leadership to analyze and prioritize business opportunities, technical alignment and models to prepare and communicate a cohesive and comprehensive plan.
  • Once a plan is prepared it will continue to work with the business unit partners to validate, adjust and track progress towards implementation.
  • This role requires an understanding of skill sets required to implement features, develop technology/solutions, influence business unit development processes, and developing a partnership with the business unit engineering teams to implement feature gaps.
  • This leader will be flexible in adapting styles and approaches based on the diverse environments that exist across Ciscos development community and leadership.

Cisco is looking for an energetic, innovative, and self-driven contributor to help lead the organization through the planning development that combines multiple technologies solutions and its intersection in topics of trust, differentiation, market enablement and business models. Ciscos Foundational and Government Security group, seeks to increase product security and trustworthiness across a broad range of Cisco products through development, integration and deployment of reusable software and hardware solutions.

Who You Are

  • US Citizenship required due to US Government contractual requirements No Green Card holders
  • HW and SW development process (system architecture, scoping, planning, project/program methodologies)
  • Software/solution architecture, design, development, and quality assurance techniques, processes, and best practices' experience.
  • Hardware and software development in or development management of embedded systems, applications, and cloud offers.
  • ASIC development and design methodology experience (design, verification & manufacturing)
  • Good mastery in End-to-End Product/Solution lifecycle implementation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, independent initiative, problem solving, and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Proven ability to establish team direction, communicate responsibilities, expectations, and priorities.
  • Ability to summarize and concisely communicate project/program plans, status, risks, risk mitigation strategies to all management levels.
  • Cisco products and SaaS offering functionality, general architecture, use case knowledge.
  • Security & Trust technologies (Cryptography, Authentication, Logging, System Integrity etc.)
  • Government Security Certifications knowledge (FIPS, Common Criteria, Department of Defense Information Network)
  • 15+ years of solution development and/or development leadership experience
  • B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated business acumen around SW and HW development/solutions programs and project management experience
