Job Description

A Technical Automation Leader that has the accountability for developing large scale complex projects; such as multipack automation. They will be responsible for working with other cross-functional teams to develop final project scoping and business case definition. This technical leader will also be responsible for leading the automation design, vendor selection and commercial development of very complex and cutting edge technologies.

This role requires a creative thinker with strong technical and leadership skills to lead highly developmental projects. They will be responsible for prototype development and testing and guiding vendors though every phase to ensure we develop the most reliable, robust and cost effective solutions.


  • This position will support SCTE Automation agenda in Warehouse and Packaging depts.
  • This position will help the Automation COE eCom team to translate SCTE Automation strategy into actionable work plans and deliverables including return, risk, technology and capability investment, customer growth and KPM impact Aligning resources and supporting your team to execute the agreed strategy to deliver Best in Class performance.
  • This position will lead equipment vendors through concept, develop, customize and commercialize automation solutions
  • This position will lead generating comprehensive specifications
  • This position will develop robust test plans and execute thorough validation of system and/or equipment
  • Lead communication and alignment with cross functional leaders
  • Lead pilot testing at PepsiCo facility
  • Lead robust commercialization of the automation solution
  • Positively influence at all levels within and outside the organization as a thought leader.
  • Providing insightful analysis of business results to senior Supply Chain Leaders on performance and ad-hoc analyses that lead to problem solving and business improving recommendations



  • BS Engineering or relevant Degree
  • 5-7+ years of professional experience
  • Track-record of effectively managing projects (Scope, Budget & Schedule) to complete multiple, time sensitive and competing priorities with minimum guidance
  • Ability to cross-functionally partner with and influence/inspire key decision makers in the organization
  • Ability to lead and drive an agenda through the organization to deliver results
  • Innovative and Independent thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels internally and external vendors
