Overall Purpose: This career step requires expert level experience. Drives specification and standardization of platforms, technologies, design approaches, methodologies, and tooling across organization. Implements technology initiatives across Lines of Business/Value Streams; Establishes Technical Vision & Strategies and drives architectural initiatives for the Portfolio. Works closely with the Solution Architects and System Engineers to ensure that individual program and product strategies align with business and technical objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Collect, generate, and analyze innovative ideas and technologies to use across the business adaptive design, and engineering practices including: Establishes Portfolio and Value Stream Strategies; Strategic Alignment Understand and communicate strategy and key business drivers for architecture, to technical and non-technical stakeholders; Choice of technology and usage research and prototyping, understanding applicability and scope, and assessing the maturity of innovative new technologies; Solution architecture Infrastructure reuse of configuration patterns, common physical infrastructure, knowledge sharing across teams; Collaborate with Portfolio Management to provide high-level, all-inclusive vision of enterprise solutions and development initiatives; Drive architectural initiatives in the Portfolio and perform analysis; Participate in the strategy for building and maintaining the architectural runway; Facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns; Influence common modeling, design, and coding practices; Synchronize System and data security and quality, scalability, performance, and other non- functional requirements (NFRs) across Solutions and Value Streams.
Focus Areas
+ Develop and drive the GET capability strategy and roadmap on target architecture (e.g. Salesforce and ServiceNow)
+ Provide thought leadership and recommendations on People and Process transformation plays around the GET capability
+ Align with strategic roadmaps across key transformation programs (especially CloudRunner, BOOM, Archimedes and CMDB)
+ Partner with key transformation thought leaders throughout the Consumer Platform Technology organization
+ Lead suppliers building the GET capability on target architecture to ensure AT&T governance and oversight
Job Contribution: Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and ATT technologies.
Education: Preferred Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; Developer nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
Experience: Typically requires 8-10 years' experience. Experience leading complex transformation is support of AT&T ordering operations for strategic products across Connectivity, Voice & Collaboration, and Security products. Hyper-focus on design-thinking strategies to improve the customer experience and profitability of the firm.
