**UNIT DESCRIPTION**


_A world-class Facilities Management Company is searching for a Process Piping Insulation Technician to be a part of a Facilities Maintenance Team in the Framingham, MA area. The position will be responsible for supporting a life-sciences campus in Framingham._


_This position is an integral part of the Integrated Facilities Management Division. You will be part of the division that supports client manufacturing and research & development through facility maintenance, modifications and upgrades needed to do the science at this preeminent institution._


_Responsibilities_


_The position will be responsible for:_


_Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives and scissors and other tools of the trade._


_Remove old/damaged insulation and properly dispose._


_Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required._


_Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use._


_Install sheet metal or PVC jacket around insulated pipes._


_Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment both inside cGMP areas and mechanical spaces._


_Read blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements_


_Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures._


_Documents all work in the CMMS system._


_Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures._


_Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner._


_Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments._


_Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work._


_Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures._


_Has the ability to successfully manage multiple projects running in parallel, sometimes with competing priorities._


_Develop and maintain professional working relationships with client stakeholders. Interface and coordinate with the client and partner with organizations on the development and execution of projects._


_Coordinate maintenance and project activities with internal customers to insure minimal impact on existing facility operations. This includes, but is not limited to: Client Facilities Personnel, Health Safety & Environmental and end users._


_May perform PMs on a variety of equipment as well as facility related corrective work orders._


_May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned._


_Qualifications:_


_High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred._


_5 or more years of related work experience._


_Working knowledge of applicable industry practices, Massachusetts building/construction standards and codes._


_Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor, other project administrators, construction managers, as well as contractors and consultants._


_Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems/Enterprise Asset Management Systems._


_Working knowledge and experience with the latest safety practices and requirements in the facilities design and construction industry._


_Skills/Aptitude:_

_Physical Requirements:_


_Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses._


_Significant walking or other means of mobility._


_Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)._


_Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds._


_Required Certifications:_


_Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done._ '


**Position Summary**


The Technician may work in any type of location on client premises. This individual performs maintenance on various types of machines. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.


**General Responsibilities:**


+ Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices suchas personal computers, electronic transmitting and receiving equipment etc.

+ Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.

+ Adjusts functional parts of electronic devices as necessary.

+ Orders replacement parts.

+ Inspects completed repairs.

+ Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.

+ Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.

+ Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.

+ Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.

+ Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

+ Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.

+ May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):**


+ Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.

+ The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

+ Wears protective clothing and/or Personal Protective Equipment required by the work environment or governmental regulations.
