**The Process Centric Team Lead Role:**



As Process Centric Team Lead, you will lead a highly skilled and engaged cross functional end to end team to ensure we meet our supply commitments and deliver life-changing medicines to our patients and our customers in a compliant and efficient way.

**What you will do:**

**Individual Accountabilities**



+ Nurture the engagement and sustainability of the Pfizer Manufacturing System (Integrated Manufacturing Excellence); which includes the lean elements of standard Work, 5S, TPM, Gemba, Continuous Improvement and visual management.

+ Develop and sustain a culture of excellence within the Manufacturing Operation; Superior Quality, Compliance, Safety, Supply Reliability and Financial Performance.

+ Building and delivering the Operational plan of record against budget.

+ Empower and coach the Process Centric Team to deliver End to End commitments to efficiently meet customer requirements and supply metric targets.

+ Managing and controlling area costs against budget to ensure site goals are achieved.

+ Communicating effectively across the department and functions. Enabling colleagues to be informed, engaged and have a clear insight into the company's strategy, goals and objectives.

+ Driving innovation and change to improve supply and quality of the product.

**To be successful in this role you will require** :



+ Third level degree in a relevant field of study and at least 5 years management experience at a senior level, in a complex, multi-disciplined environment.

+ Understanding of GMP in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

+ Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, with Six Sigma green or black belt certification would be an advantage.

+ Understanding the commercial implications of Production management, including experience of financial planning and budgeting.

+ Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills leading change management initiatives

+ An ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and goal driven environment.

**Role Description**

Senior Operations Manager / Process Team Lead : Permanent Role / 12 month Secondment

Champion Process Team model to deliver End to End commitments, coordinate and prioritise

Process Team activities, drive Continuous Improvement and ensure robust cross functional issue resolution through high performance teamwork.

Understands the business needs and can utilize site and network resources to establish and

maintain competitive End to End operations. Demonstrates company values & leadership behaviours



**General Responsibilities:**



**Organizational effectiveness**

Accountable for developing a high performing team culture within the process team through:

Defining expectations, goals and outcomes with process team members

Possesses ability to collaborate widely across the local site and network.

Builds strong relationships, coach and influence peers and key stakeholders.

Leads for change and embraces continuous improvement philosophy and approach

Prioritising and co-ordinate the process team workload

Facilitating and leading special initiatives/projects as needed.

Understanding the functionality of equipment and characteristics of materials used in his/

her area of responsibility to ensure efficient utilizing of resources.

Providing continuity to manufacturing operations and develop effective escalation,

communication and handover procedures.

**Customer Service**

Accountable for ensuring the Process Team function effectively to deliver on End to End

commitments to efficiently meet customer requirements:

Liaise between various functional groups to ensure manufacturing and testing and

Schedule and align with the end to end and customer requirements.

Utilise OE tools to continuously improve End to End through-put time

Regular communication with internal customers to establish best practices and replication

Facilitate process team to plan/deliver to the established TAKT requirements

**Network Performance**

Accountable for the application of Network performance principle and recognizing opportunity's for replication of best practices:

Develop clear strategies to maximize the impact of network performance tools such as

Standard work and Total Preventative Maintenance.

Identifies internal and external Best practices and replicates where applicable

Develop processes to assess the effectiveness of OE tools

Support and drive the implementation of lean management tools within manufacturing

operations.

**Quality**

Accountable for developing culture of Quality within process teams as per site strategies

Ensure operational facility is maintained in a constant state of compliance and audit readiness in line with current regulations, Pfizer Quality Standards and business needs

Facilitate effective Method 1's to identify root cause and develop robust CAPA

Coach high performance root cause analysis

Provide continuity to shift teams with respect to investigation completion and CAPA

**Safety**

Accountable for developing Safety culture within process teams as per site strategies

Recognizes safe behavior and practices

Support shift teams to co-ordinate Mirashare activities across multiple shifts

Conducts accident investigations and participates in critical task analysis.

Partners with EHS on audits, training and communication in his/her area.



**WORK FLOW**

Work assignments are of a medium and strategic nature and sometimes long-term. Annual

strategic objectives are established on a plant-wide basis through the goal setting process and

then translated into Process Team Goals and Objectives by the incumbent with the assistance of the Process Team.



**DECISION MAKING**

Prioritization of manufacturing activities (Leads daily process team meetings).

Improvement projects - incumbent participates with Quality and Technology personnel to

identify improvement actions that result in quality, cost, safety and/or cycle time improvements.

Troubleshooting, the incumbent represents the first step of an escalation process for issues that require the support of the wider process team.

The decisions made by Process Team Lead have a critical impact on how the process team

behaves and achieve their goals.

The incumbent's decisions directly affect the product quality, compliance with internal and external cGMP standards and the ability to provide service to the customers. Because he/she is a leader, his/her decisions, how they are made and how they are communicated have significant impact on employee morale.

He/She leads by example in demonstrating integrity and leadership because he/she leads a team of people, the process team lead has special responsibility for role modelling the values and behaviours of the organization. The primary relationship between the Company and the employee is dictated by the supervisor-employee relationship, and as such, incumbent is expected to conduct him/herself in a manner and style, which embodies the culture Pfizer

promotes.



**SUPERVISION**

Due to his/her progressive expertise and experience the incumbent receives some supervision

from the Director of Operations (Operations Lead). Direction is provided through daily / weekly meetings.



**BUDGET/ASSET RESPONSIBILITY**

Has responsibility for the operational budget performance, financial adsorption based on the manufacturing Plan of Record. Manages and provides accurate and timely feedback regarding status of costs and payroll in his/her area. Monitors usage and expenses related to supplies and other items in their work area. Identifies opportunities and is responsible for implementation of cost improvement projects (i.e. yield and/or efficiency improvements).



**Qualifications / Experience:**

Degree in Science or related field may be accepted where suitable relevant experience can be demonstrated. Master Degree and OpEx Lean & Six Sigma certification an advantage.

Additional education should include leadership and/or organisational development

Strong influencing and communication skills with demonstrated leadership skills required

Project Management of major change/improvement initiatives

Passionate about people and Employee development and motivation

A highly motivated change agent who can work collaboratively and energise others to drive change and obtain shared results. Understanding of GMP in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, general understanding

of site systems and processes.
