Who You Are

A Product Owner focusing on the CX Exchange, a Cisco Services wide applications' marketplace. The marketplace would provide a distribution platform for third party developers to develop and distribute Cisco Services and Support-centric applications that demonstrate Cisco network device telemetry data. The Marketplace will provide developers a development sandbox, access to Cisco Services and device APIs, and robust documentation including sample applications to help facilitate application development. The Marketplace distribution platform will also provide support for commercial transactions, enabling developers with self-sustaining and profitable revenue streams.

Your role at a high level is to create a Vision and Strategy at a broad business context for the CX Exchange. Your day-to-day responsibility is working with Commerce, Finance, Legal, Go-To-Market PMs, Architects, and Sr. and Executive Leadership to craft, develop, and deliver the business architecture and ecosystem that will become the CX Exchange. To do this the Product Owner should have proven business skills for setting the strategic direction and influencing to get executive buy-in across the various functions across Cisco. At a higher level you will participate in a Cisco Wide Working Group to help define an uber Cisco Market Place and how the CX Exchange will be eventually integrated. With this in mind, an understanding of the right skills, process understanding, and mindset is vital.

We are seeking high energy and qualified candidates who possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in delivering an Applications Marketplace across the full life cycle spectrum - from concept through sustainable delivery. This includes addressing items as such as monetization strategies and engaging Finance and Legal teams in support of delivering on those strategies.
  • Ability to build, position and drive a cohesive product Vision and Strategy
  • 15+ years of product management experience including developing and launching cloud native, SaaS, and B2B Enterprise applications. BS/BE or Masters in CS, CE or MBA
  • Experience in developing roadmaps from concept to launch, managing requirements against that roadmap including collection, organization and prioritization
  • Experience in Data Driven Decision making, defining and driving objectives, key metrics and KPIs across the program
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in a team environment with a documented software development process; ideally working within an Iterative or Agile methodology like Scrum and driving day-to-day technical and design direction for large scale systems.
  • Significant experience delivering Cloud Native, SaaS, and Enterprise Applications
  • Good Communication and Presentation Skills - ability to work with Cross Functional Remote Teams, build a network of trusted relationships, and present out well to the Executive Leadership Team
  • Accountability: Candidate should be a results-oriented team player who leads by example, holds self-accountable for performance, takes absolute ownership, and champions all aspects of customer and project initiatives.
  • Efficient and Creative: Candidate should be able to think outside the box to find the optimal solution to problems.
  • Knowledge and experience in multiple functional areas including Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Customer Experience, Finance, Marketing and Legal
  • Ambitious and talented individual who enjoys hard problems who have an appetite for learning new technologies
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of regional, governmental tax laws and implications of Third-Party Marketplaces
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Enterprise and B2B markets, accompanying GTM Strategies and Sales motions
  • Experience with e-commerce systems, collections, revenue recognition, taxes and payments

The CX IP Engineering team (RTP Based) in CX Engineering seeks a highly motivated Product Owner to join some of the industry's brightest minds in development field using today's most sophisticated technologies. You will work cross functionally within the Customer Experience organization and across Ciscos Product Business Units, playing a transformative role developing and implementing the Vision and Strategy for the CX Exchange program which is essential for Cisco Customers and Partners.
