**Production Services Specialist, 12 month Internship**

**Location: Ringaskiddy API Site**

**Position Summary**

In line with the ongoing talent development strategy at the Pfizer Ringaskiddy API site there is a need for a Production Services Specialist (Internship Contract). This role will work with an existing Production Services Specialist on delivering a world class Manufacturing Service (cost competitive and operational excellence) delivering RFT performance in safety, quality, cost and supply initially in the area of solvent Supply and Waste Management but also in the area of Solvent Recovery and Utilities. The successful candidate will be hired by a third party vendor.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

+ Responsible for Area Safety Performance. Ensure the plant operates to required safety standards. Deliver Operational excellence in safety

+ Deliver effective and up to date SOP's

+ Responsible for ensuring cGMP standards are met. Deliver required excellent levels of housekeeping and documentation. Deliver audit readiness

+ Ensure Operations related deviations are investigated and resolved through robust corrective and preventive actions. Deliver operation excellence in Quality

Solvent Supply and Waste Management:

+ Deliver timely provision of solvent services

+ Manage the Tankfarm and inter plant bulk solvent and waste logistics

+ Support execution of the Production Plan by providing Solvent and Waste Services

+ Liaise directly with the Plants to plan and execute campaign set ups

+ Manage the Tankfarm PM schedule

+ Support the Site Solvent Recovery Team effort

+ Develop understanding of the Utilities and WWTP areas


The selection will be via a competency interview process based on the following qualifications, skills, experience and behaviours.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience:**

This position requires excellent appropriate technical, organisational, communication and leadership skills, and requires the successful colleagues to perform with confidence. The successful candidate will have the ability to support highly competent and self-motivated teams, to make things happen in order to meet customer requirements, as well as the ability to deal with the challenges that API manufacturing may present.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be currently studying or be qualified to degree level in an appropriate discipline. Experience in collaborative working and problem-solving would be advantageous.

**Educational Experience:**

As a minimum the candidate shall be studying or possess a degree in Process/Chemical, Biomedical, Environmental or Energy. Previous placement experience in a relevant area of the industry would be an advantage.

**Training & Prior Experience:**

+ The Specialist shall be experienced and skilled at problem solving.

+ The Specialist shall be customer focussed and flexible in order to meet changing business needs.

+ The Specialist shall have excellent organizational, planning and scheduling skills.

+ The Specialist shall be capable of working independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

+ The Specialist shall have strong leadership qualities.

Performance across the above areas will be measured through an appropriate set of metrics which have been developed for this position.
