Professional Member of Technical Staff- Network Security Compliance

Overall Purpose: Responsible for driving adherence to security and compliance policies/programs affecting network devices, applications, and databases managed by the Network Core Infrastructure & Services (NCI&S) organization focusing on ASPR requirements, and audit compliance. Work collaboratively with cross functional resources to develop new/augment existing security and compliance processes, policies and procedures; create best practices, reference and awareness material for use by NCI&S subject-matter experts and system administrators to mitigate security risks, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure operational preparedness for audits.


Role will apply advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to compliance requirements for architecture, design and development work in a Research and Development environment for high-value technology and solutions tied to the strategic direction of the company.


Principal Responsibilities:


+ Responsible for working with team to ensure that all compliance programs requirements are being met across the Network Core Infrastructure Organization. Specifically, responsible for all security compliance related to Network Infrastructure, network devices, applications, and databases.

+ Works across Network Core Infrastructure and Services teams to drive closure of open Red/Yellow non-compliant items and ensure AVP teams have plans documented for closure.

+ Educate teams on steps required to remediate or maintain compliance. Implement a Best Practices Program to maintain green program status. This function will track the various risk exceptions, performance with closing remediation plans, and coordinate plans for items that require funding to achieve remediation.

+ Become subject matter expert for Network Core & Infrastructure areas they support to better address compliance impacts so they can be addressed in development process and own driving remediation of all open vulnerabilities.

+ Responsible for becoming knowledgeable on all ASPR requirements to evaluate potential impact to existing internal network and coordinate necessary information to internal Network Core Infrastructure & Services team compiling feedback and providing necessary information to inform applicable vendors of requirements.

+ Responsible for the evaluation of new technologies and ensuring they meet Network Core Infrastructure & Services success Criteria for security and compliance prior to entry into production.

+ This position will also ensure that appropriate risk exception documentation is developed, reviewed, and filed; along with documented remediation plans that are funded.

+ Work with technology directors, and AVPs in NCI&S to heighten awareness of security and compliance items for new technology/environments

**Desired Qualifications:**

Working knowledge of current AT&T security compliance policies and ASPR requirements. Technical knowledge regarding AT&Ts Layer 1 through 3 Network. Role will be responsible for security compliance requirements across a variety of areas including the design, testing and implementation of highly scalable, complex, networks and related services for Layer 1 through Layer 3 including routers and switches, Network Terminating Equipment, White Box integration of merchant silicon hardware with 3rd party Network Operating Systems and cloud technology amongst others.


**Education:** Bachelors degree in technical STEM discipline with 2 years of experience or Masters Degree.
