Cloud Ops Program/Program Manager

We are moving several of our products to the Cloud and this team is the centralized team in Cisco responsible for moving and managing all our Cloud Products.

What You'll Do:

You will own the On Boarding and Management processes of products from various portfolios on to our Cloud infrastructure. You will ensure the onboard applications are meeting or exceeding the defined SLAs. This is a fast-paced Environment with lot of global partner management at different levels in the organization. You will be responsible for end-to-end planning for products that may be built by several different business units within Cisco.

Who You'll Work With:

You will be a part of the Cloud Operations team that is responsible for program managing all the products on Cloud including ensuring various SLAs as defined by the various product portfolios. You will work with key stakeholders (Engineering Leads, Product Management Leads, Delivery Leads, Security Operations, Core infrastructure, System Engineering) to ensure the products are built to cloud specifications and have all the necessary features built-in to be supported and be managed by the Cloud Operations team. Work with Core infrastructure team to ensure seamless elastic provision of systems and services for the various cloud offerings.

Your role is to ensure repeatable successful onboarding and management of cloud offerings to the infrastructure and alignment to respective committed SLAs.

Who You Are:

  • Manage CloudOps roadmap and cross teamwork
  • Work with Engineering Leads on delivery schedule, feature completeness, and cloud readiness.
  • Build and maintain Information and Run Book templates.
  • Manage and drive daily, weekly and monthly CloudOps Scrum meetings
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope change
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure cloud offerings are on-boarded on time, within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectation
  • Manage, provision, and escalate vendor services
  • Disaster recovery planning
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different location
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Breakthrough Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go review
  • Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plan
  • Weekly Release Reporting
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as require
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists
  • Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, run books, dependencies, and notification list
  • Researches new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management need

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and continuous delivery pipeline
  • Demonstrable experience with software configuration management and release engineering concepts & practice
  • Experience with Java, Angular and container/microservice development & build environments
  • Knowledge of a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, ECS,RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS


  • 10 or more years of Program/Project Management experience working in a complex cross matrix environment.
  • 5+ years of meaningful experience with DevOps in a Linux environment, preferably large compute clusters
  • Proven track record of delivering mission-critical system
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Manage and continuously enhance the CI/CD pipeline and process to increase automation and adoption
  • Enforce continuous integration / continuous delivery and cloud adoption. Focus on decreasing costs with automation and analytics
  • Experience in providing automation solutions and believe that everything can be automate
  • Formal training in project management practices preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skill
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a requirement
