Main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Role will be payer account management while also contributing to overall payer sales strategy & business development.
  • Implement new programs and provide account management to health plan partners.
  • Support health plan accounts within key markets and regions.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with Genoa's National and Regional Operations leaders in the design and implementation of programs.
  • Business and program development including program design, workflow design and contract development.
  • Bring innovative thinking to deliver new performance based reimbursement models to payers while advancing the growth of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with payer communities including Managed Medicaid Plans, Medicare Part D Plans, and Managed Behavioral Health organizations.
  • Keep abreast of state and federal government legislation as well as market dynamics to anticipate industry and payer trends.

Additional Key responsibilities and minimum expectations of this position also include: 

  • Implement new programs and provide account management to health plan partners.
    • Expectation: Facilitate the management of the value program and other strategic program requirements (internally and with the client)
    • Expectation:  Ability to understand program success factors, anticipate and drive execution of key requirements to ensure the success of the programs, this will involve the ability to successfully influence action on behalf of field, external clients and others. 
  • Support health plan accounts within key markets and regions.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with Genoa's National and Regional Operations leaders in the design and implementation of programs.
  • Business and program development including program design, workflow design and contract development.
    • Expectation: Inherent to this requirement is the understanding of how the program fits within overall Pharmacy model and financial implications of the design.
    • Expectation: Ability to independently and effectively articulate a program design, end to end inclusive of measurements and financial model design.
  • Bring strategic and innovative thinking to deliver new performance based reimbursement models to payers while advancing the growth of the organization.
    • Expectation: Create materials and presentations (internally and externally) that are in final draft format, utilizing appropriate resources to ensure effectiveness of content. 
    • Expectation: Support team's strategic plan to create new relationships in prioritized markets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with payer communities including Managed Medicaid Plans, Medicare Part D Plans, and Managed Behavioral Health organizations.
    • Expectation:  Develop new health plan relationships that result in prospective client pitch opportunities.
    • Expectation:  Sales presence and successful impact to engage key stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of state and federal government legislation as well as market dynamics to anticipate industry and payer trends.
    • Expectation: Must be able to articulate key pharmacy regulations and initiatives and how they can be implemented within our model
