Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs) and related documents furnished by the procuring agencies and insurance brokers; analyze to understand and capture specific operational, administrative and proposal requirements
  • ""
  • Develop new and maintain existing baseline proposal content for assigned functional area within designated database
  • ""
  • Review prior proposals to extract relevant content for use in proposal development; work with content manager to determine relevant elements
  • ""
  • Outline proposal sections or answers to address all elements of direct, derived and implied requirements
  • ""
  • Participate in individual and group proposal reviews with key individuals; incorporate changes and improvements to proposals
  • ""
  • Copyedit proposal narrative
  • ""
  • Collect and submit proposal exhibits, attachments, appendices relevant to assigned sections for tracking and for formatting, if required
  • ""
  • Works closely with sales, product, legal, pricing, and other functions to reflect prospect's needs, company interests, and appropriate resources and timeline
  • ""
  • Responsible for writing concise and accurate content in response toRFP
  • ""
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects with competing demands
  • ""
  • Ability to work within a content database and populate common sections of proposal
  • ""
  • Work with manager to provide concepts for creating supporting graphics for proposals and marketing materials
  • ""
  • Complete work according to deadlines provided by manager

  • Develop marketing collateral, sales materialand other projects for assigned product lines with support and guidance of more senior team members.

  • Builds relationships with internal and/or external clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day - to - day service delivery with the operational enterprise

  • Support designated Account Executive in an administrative role and targeted accounts as required by providing exceptional business acumen

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Writing/Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Health Care Management/Administration or related field, or High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of work experience with State or Federal proposal's.
  • "
  • 3+ years of experience managing complex proposals or experience working as a project manager
  • "
  • Able to provide two writing samples during interview
  • "
  • Must have the ability to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm EST, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required. Overtime could occur before, after, or on a different day than your regularly scheduled shift
  • "
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, formulas) Microsoft PowerPoint (creating presentations) and Microsoft Word (manipulating documents from outside sources)
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

  • Experience with B2B and/or B2C Marketing experience within a matrixed organization

  • Ability to independently define, schedule, and manage the proposal preparation process, including the ability to understand and analyze the details of an RFP

  • Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite : InDesign (creating posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, and eBooks), Photoshop (creating images from scratch or alter existing images),

  • Qvidian database experience
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills, including a high degree of comfort leading and speaking in large meetings with high - level personnel
  • Experience gathering requirements, written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple work requests and projects
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail; Ability to recognize errors and inconsistencies in content
