In this role, you’ll use your strong customer service orientation and knowledge of behavioral health systems to serve as an advocate for providers in our networks. The Provider Relations Advocate serves the state of Washington.  It is an essential role responsible for managing the network of providers who serve the Medicaid Members with behavioral health needs.  
If you are located in the Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of providers in the region
  • Develop and maintain relations through regular visits and participation in regional committees and provider meetings
  • Manage the credentialing process of new providers and facilitate changes as they occur
  • Monitor member access to services and implement a recruiting strategy where gaps occur
  • Manage fee schedules and updates to ensure accurate claims processing
  • Serve as a representative of the product and must be knowledgeable on company and contract plans to effectively serve and facilitate communication

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of health care / managed care experience
  • 2+ years of provider relations and / or provider network experience
  • Understanding and comfort with working in complex data systems (such as Provider Express, Facets, Cosmos, etc.)
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel
  • Experience with Medicaid regulations
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-40% within Washington, and reside within the Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington

  • Proficiency in claims processing and issue resolution
