The Dental Provider Relations Advocate (DHMO) is responsible for the full range of DHMO provider relations and service to include interactions with clients and internal stakeholders. Candidate will be responsible for receiving escalated issues and resolving complex problems, including working on end-to-end provider claims and call quality, ease of use of provider portal, future service enhancements, and training & development of external provider education programs. The Provider Advocate develops the provider dental network yielding a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. The Provider Advocate will initially evaluate and negotiate contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Responsibilities also include establishing and maintaining strong business relationships and ensuring the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties. 

 

If you are located in San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno or within Northern or Central California, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Telecommuter role and will need to be located within the Northern or Central California region
  • Ability to facilitate virtual trainings with providers. Post Covid-19, this role will travel within the designated territory to provide in-person provider education
  • Act as the liaison between the provider, client and members
  • Use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise 
  • Be able to be empathic and have a strong emotional intelligence while working with clients, stakeholders and partnerships
  • Prioritize, organize and manage workload autonomously to meet goals and deadlines
  • Handle high level escalations
  • Provide explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise
