A career in our Innovation Development practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' redesign, redefine, and redeploy their assurance and/or tax departments to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients as they incorporate increased automation, machine learning, data & analytics, Open Source technologies into their processes to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.Our team helps our clients create a guided path to innovation by developing the right methods that generate insight based ideas, and to select, produce and commercialise the most valuable and viable results. Youll focus on software driven innovation strategy, software technology diligence, operating model design, software product planning and management, and software architecture and cloud strategy.


As a Senior Manager, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients
  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria
  • Train, coach, and supervise team members
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

Job Requirements and Preferences: 

Basic Qualifications: 

Minimum Degree Required: 
Bachelor Degree

Required Fields of Study: 
Computer and Information Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering

Additional Educational Requirements: 

In lieu of a Bachelor Degree, 12 years of professional experience involving software development quality assurance.

Minimum Years of Experience: 
10 year(s) of relevant job experience including 6+ years of performance testing experience.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: 

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:

  • Preparing test tools to develop scripts, monitor application, database, machine level performance, analyze performance metrics, troubleshoot errors, failures, bottlenecks, and prepare performance test dashboards and reports;
  • Interpreting web application function over HTTP protocol;
  • Building the performance benchmarking of Web and Mobile Enterprise wide applications with minimum guidance;
  • Testing of Performance Monitoring of WEB and Mobile Based Applications;
  • Demonstrating experience of RESTful web services and APIs and understanding of Performance Testing for web based API;
  • Working experience of performance test tools like JMeter, WebTest, BlazeMeter, Performance Center or others;
  • Working experience of SQL experience and an ability to write intermediate to complex SQL code;
  • Working experience of Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or other cloud services;
  • Using and interpreting results from performance monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic APM, App Dynamics, Compuware APM (Dynatrace);
  • Understanding of Windows and UNIX environments;
  • Understanding of Relational Databases & SQL Query tools;
  • Understanding about Automation Tools (Selenium, Katalon, Cucumber, Ready API, RestAssured);
  • Engineering skills and deep understanding of the technologies. Net, SQL Server, RESR API;
  • Preparing and coordinating complex written and verbal materials; and,
  • Developing and sustaining Collaborative skills.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:

  • Measuring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance and scalability of web and desktop applications;
  • Having testing experience on BlazeMeter, JMeter, will consider other enterprise performance tool experience;
  • Having scripting skills;
  • Understanding and ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks at different levels of Application and help the engineering teams;
  • Utilizing testing systems in cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments;
  • Understanding of web application and browser concepts (HTTP, connections, cookies, caching, streaming, etc.);
  • Analyzing performance requirements, translate into detailed test cases, and create test scripts;
  • Handling test data in various formats (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.) and understanding data storage, encoding, encryption, data transformation, and related concepts;
  • Developing load models, design, develop, execute Performance test cases and scripts that cover a wide variety of scenarios such as smoke, functional, regression, endurance, and performance testing through analysis of product specifications and software requirements, as well as mentor/train the customer teams on the same;
  • Understanding on how to parameterize scripts for load, spike, stress, and soak tests;
  • Working experience with APM tools and able to explain what metrics they provide and what they mean;
  • Answering questions and provide direction to less-experienced staff;
  • Coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback; and,
  • Performing creative and persistent problem solving.
