Quantitative Finance Analyst

**Job Description:**

Bank of America's Global Risk Analytics Wholesale Risk Analytics Data and Operation team is looking for a hands-on Quantitative Finance Analyst (QFA) to be responsible for wholesale risk model data development, integration and/or ongoing maintenance of commercial credit risk models, including, but not limited to, technical data transformation, documentation of methodology and results, model performance ongoing monitoring, in support of Wholesale Loss Forecasting, IFRS 9/CECL and CCAR/DFAST regulatory exams. The QFA will directly interact with model developers on developing the model calibration data and also partner with technology team to ensure that critical functions are implemented and performed as expected. The QFA will present results to and integrate with business partners and provide guidance on analytical views of commercial portfolios. Subject credit models serve as critical input to CCAR/DFAST exams as well as Banks allowance and risk appetite limit setting functions.

A successful candidate will be a team player supporting and improving internal team functions ranging from model data development, methodology development, model process engineering and ongoing monitoring, model impact analysis, and will integrate well with partners in various model development teams, Global Banking Data Management (GBDM), Model Risk Management (MRM), Forecast Administers (FA), Wholesale Credit (WC), Balance Sheet and Capital Management, Technology, Audit and Compliance as well as Federal Reserve Banks (FRB) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

**Required Skills:**

A successful candidate will have some hands on and related experience and demonstrated the following skills (not in priority order):

+ 2 5 year experience in data science, big data analytics, or model development

+ Knowledge in PD/LGD/EAD modeling for credit related products

+ PhD, MS or BS in engineering, statistics, operations research, economics, finance, physics or mathematics

+ Experience with SAS, SQL, Python and other related software and hardware

+ Compiling technical model documentation

+ Excellent communication that is able to articular technical terms and quantitative methods and convey clear and concise messages

**Desired Skills:**

+ Relevant work experience with CCAR/DFAST exams

+ Fundamental understanding of risk framework

+ Proficient in project management, particularly in the development, implementation, application, and validation/back-testing of models or analytic processes

+ Understanding of how quantitative methods can be applied to finance and banking
