Orrick has an exciting opening for a Recruiter who is ready to be challenged and build a career within an AmLaw Top 100 law firm. This hybrid position will be in the based in any of Orrick’s U.S. offices (Austin; Boston; Houston; Los Angeles; New York; Menlo Park; Orange County, Portland, Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica, Seattle, Washington DC or Wheeling, WV). 

What responsibilities will you have?  In this role you will focus on full-cycle talent acquisition for senior business roles within Orrick.  You will use your advanced knowledge of key performance indicators, recruiting platforms and strategies to attract a diverse talent pool of quality candidates while minimizing the firm’s use of external recruiters.   You will understand the firm's vision and how to best present the Orrick brand to attract top talent and be an ambassador of Orrick’s friendly, respectful, and inclusive culture to all.  You will work closely with the firm’s HR team, hiring managers and cross functional business partners across the firm’s US offices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading searches for Senior Management, Director, Senior Manager and Manager professional staff positions across the US.
  • Comfortably facilitating a full portfolio of active searches while minimizing Time-To-Hire.
  • Ensuring an inclusive recruiting process for all searches.
  • Strategically sourcing candidates using a variety of platforms.
  • Conducting detailed screening interviews using proven interview techniques and presenting a shortlist of most qualified candidates to hiring managers for consideration.
  • Preparing and presenting offers, facilitates pre-employment checks, sets start dates.
  • Engaging with talent pool and creating a pipeline of qualified candidates including managing relationships with quality candidates previously interviewed and individuals who have expressed interest via networking opportunities.
  • Maximizing all features of firm’s ATS system to ensure efficiency in recruiting process.
  • Sharing best practices with team.

Your Knowledge, Experience and Education

  • Five years of recruiting professional support level experience required, preferably in a high-volume recruiting agency.   Experience working with law firms or professional services environment desirable.  Technical recruiting experience a plus.
  • The ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • A client service-oriented mindset is critical. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications and presentation skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively on team and in other organizational contexts/levels.  
  • Adept at handling concurrent projects and competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing platforms.
  • Recognized Talent Acquisition Credential a plus.
