**Sodexo** is seeking a **Retail Manager 2** at **Boston Childrens Hospital** located in **Boston, MA.** Boston Children's is ranked the number one pediatric hospital in the nation by _U.S. News and World Report (https://www.childrenshospital.org/about-us/us-news-world-report-rankings)_ . It is home to the world's largest pediatric research enterprise, and it is the leading recipient of pediatric research funding from the National Institutes of Health. It is the primary pediatric teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. Boston Childrens treats more children with rare diseases and complex conditions than any other hospital.

Reporting the GM of Retail Food Service, the Retail Manager will lead a team of frontline employees overseeing operations of a Food Court with branded concepts, a licensed Starbucks store, and coffee carts.

The ideal candidate will have prior food service or retail experience in a management role, exceptional drive and initiative, and excellent communications skills.Come join a creative and innovative team that makes a positive impact on the guest dining experience!

****The work schedule for this position will be** **Primarily Monday-Friday and a mix of morning and eve shifts and one weekend a month** ******

**The successful candidate will:**

+ motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly-paid), staff;

+ provide stellar customer service;

+ oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;

+ ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;

+ conduct retail brand standard audits (in-house and national brands);

+ maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands);

+ manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily retail food service operations;

+ ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place;

+ manage vendor relationships and compliance; and/or

+ maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

**Position Summary**

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.

Key Duties

- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.

- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.

- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.

- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.

- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.

- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
