Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region.

Nurses provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Nurses provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care and the nurse will demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice

The functions of the Clinical Educator is to provide nursing professional development and education services by assisting nurse in preparing for contemporary proactive and supporting them in acquiring knowledge and skills so that they can competently collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient, develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes , implement the interventions identified in the plan of care that prescribes intervents to attain the expected outcomes in the care setting. Assist in all aspects of Pediatric, Nursery and Neonatal education as we progress towards level 3 NICU designation.

Job Requirements

Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree within 3 years. Masters preferred.

Minimum of 5 years experience with background in clinical nursing, management and education in NICU, Nursery and or Pediatrics.

Current License as a Registered Nurse in Texas or compact. BLS at hire. Preferred instructor for NRP and PALS. Must have NRP, STABLE and PALS provider certification.

Nurse will work aseducator and staffnurse.

Oral and written communication skills. Creative teaching methodology and design to facilitateadult learning needs. Knowledge base of teaching and learning theories, curriculum design, test measurement, evaluation and research. Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
