We are seeking a proactive, detail oriented Sales Commission Analyst to join our Sales Strategy and Planning team based in San Francisco. The Sales Commission Analyst is a key part of our small team responsible for honing Merakis commission structure and driving implementation for a growing and changing organization. You will own, develop and administer our commission plan processes and systems. This person will drive monthly payment calculations for monthly payroll.

In this collaborative role, you will work with sales, sales operations, finance, and HR to build compensation plans and execute compensation strategy that align to Merakis growth strategy. You will be relied on for your analytical approach and attention to detail.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate all aspects of Merakis sales compensation and commissions plans for the companys global sales team
  • Assist with auditing the monthly commission payout to ensure accurate payment for commissionable reps
  • Build and implement new hire compensation plans, accelerators, and other sales compensation elements
  • Maintain an up to date view of the sales team as a whole as well as maintain the direct and overlay hierarchies to ensure accurate crediting
  • Maintain our Sales Headcount Tracker
  • Research and diplomatically resolve commission-related inquiries from the Sales teams
  • Provide guidance and training to sales teams on commission plan structures, reports, policy, and other relevant processes
  • Routine system maintenance outside of calculations

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects on a tight deadline
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Focused on getting commissions payments accurate and willing to dig in deep to help solve and answer questions
  • Able to work with highly confidential information with discretion
  • A strong, concise communicator
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and have enthusiasm for finding efficiencies
  • Resilient, optimistic, and passionate about our business results while never compromising team relationship
  • Excited to continue to scale our commission process through supporting the sales team, developing our systems, and improving the commission model
  • Interested in how commissions can be a strategic lever in driving Merakis growth, and looking to grow and develop from an analytical perspective

What were looking for in you:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a finance, consulting or other highly analytical role
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SQL and other data query platforms a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
  • Experience with 3rd partner commissions tools a plus (e.g. Anaplan, Oracle)
