Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Cloud and Cognitive are looking for a Cloud Integration sales representative to join our team. We are a group of salespeople with cloud subject matter expertise focused on helping IBM clients define and execute on their journey to cloud. We recognize that the cloud strategy for most corporations includes a diverse multi-cloud environment and we want to help our clients leverage open source solutions to solve real-world challenges in moving, migrating, and managing cloud solutions.
In this role, you will support IBMs Journey to Cloud growth strategy by enabling our clients to plan and execute on their existing middleware platform as well as their cloud integration platform, DevOps, open-source strategy. As sales representative in IBM Cloud, you are responsible for all sales to our Enterprise clients supported by our technical team and cloud architects. You'll be building strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders to promote IBMs portfolio of cloud platform solutions, including hybrid cloud and cloud-native application development, and container management.

The role is specifically working with our Strategic Accounts hence the focus and reward is very much on new business acquisition hunting, rather than farming. You will support IBM by enabling customers to define, develop, and deploy their next-generation Cloud strategies.
Prospect for new client engagement & opportunity development
Manage all aspects of a sales cycle from opportunity identification, through to the negotiation and closure of contracts
Play a pivotal part and act as a role model in the transformation of IBMs go to market model
Use innovative ways to identify, progress & close sales opportunities to demonstrate client value i.e. Design Thinking, meetups, whiteboarding, prototyping, architecture workshops, hands-on demos.
Translate client business requirements into solutions, including requirements, architecture and design.
Demonstrate the ability to interpret industry, market and technology trends as a foundation for our offering and technology roadmaps.
Communicate value, progress and status of sales opportunities to all stakeholders.
Possess experience in consultative selling, effective presentation skills and negotiation techniques are key to success in the role.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in a software or solutions sales role
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to business executives and senior IT executives
  • Language requirements: Swedish & English
  • Ability to sell and close solutions in a complex environment
  • Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams - including line of business stakeholders, not solely IT.
  • Balance of strategic and tactical skills
