Your Role and Responsibilities
Your role as Sales Specialist, within the GTS business line of Technology Support Services (TSS), is closely aligned to IBMs strategic focus on Cloud and Hybrid Cloud. In this role, you will address client needs for operational simplicity and availability tied to their journey to cloud by offering Support and Maintenance solutions for infrastructure (HW and SW) - during and prior to the actual transition to Cloud.

Open Source software plays a very distinct part in a Hybrid Cloud environment and clients are requesting enterprise-ready support for their key open source products. TSS has spotted this market requirement and can now provide commercial support for 170+ Open Source products. By collaborating with both TSS solution designers and the RedHat account teams, you will drive sales of our Open Source support offerings, within above mentioned client territories.

As the Sales Specialist, you will work independently and have comprehensive knowledge of TSS Multi-Vendor Offerings. You are responsible for the success of those offerings and will typically lead large and/or complex opportunities, within the key IBM client territories (Industrial, Financial Services, Telco, Retail, Electronics, Public, Computer Services), driving these opportunities to close.

You will also develop and maintain comprehensive technical sales know-how in the various specialty offerings, along with financial and selling skills which you will utilize in order to generate opportunity pipeline and close qualified leads.

Additionally, you will develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the specialty sales processes, techniques, and tools, being capable of advising others on how-to. Examples of this include, but are not limited to, opportunity / territory management, cost justification, acquisition management, services business management and channel management processes.

Organizational and leadership skills

English: Fluent

Swedish: Fluent

At least 5 years experience in client relationship and sales experience

Background from IT-industry (or working within IT in another industry) is required

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience from a large corporation with ability to maneuver in complex processes and red tape
Cloud and Open Source Software
Selling recurrent professional services on subscription basis
