SC Eng Principal Engineer Facilities and Infrastructure
Overview The Pepsi Beverages North America Supply Chain Principal Engineer Facilities and Infrastructure, has accountability for planning and delivering complex projects in partnership with the broader Pepsi Beverage organization to deliver first in class manufacturing and distribution facilities. This individual will serve as a company expert in industrial building maintenance, repair, and construction; coordinating, prioritizing, and executing Facility Maintenance repairs and new construction while balancing competitive priorities, budgets, production schedules, and supply chain challenges. Additionally, the role of Sector Principal Engineer serves as a coach and mentor, developing field Facility Maintenance capability throughout the organization. The Supply Chain Engineering Facility and Infrastructure team shares knowledge across the PBNA supply chain, partners with other Engineering initiatives to develop, asses, and lead building related initiatives, and supports individual business Divisions in assessing infrastructure condition, developing short- and long-term prioritizations, assessing project scopes and vendor responses, and executing building repair projects. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Project Management Skills: Scope Development Bid Response Evaluation Schedule and Execution Planning Construction Supervision Budget and Cost Management Leads multiple projects in the field with minimal direction and guidance. Critical leader in delivering complex projects utilizing top organizational skills and creative thinking Partners with local field leaders to correctly prioritize and scope Facility Maintenance projects Develops conceptual scopes and charters for new projects Demonstrates strong cost management skills. Create Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost ranges for projects. Develops CAR grade estimates and write funding documents including ESRs and CARs. Creates presentations for funding requests Develops and manages excellent capital and expense forecasts for a large project portfolio. Performs cost control to lower project costs and achieve budget targets Demonstrates strong project time management skills including creating initial and baseline project schedules and developing schedule acceleration options Manages, communicates, and mitigates project risks Company Subject Matter Expert: Major building construction components [Roofs, process drains, architectural construction] Strategizes and creates plans to identify schedule, cost, and field service issues before they come to fruition and develops action plans to meet project needs Builds and leverages external connections to technology, vendors, and equipment suppliers to identify new innovations and optimize current technologies Champions strategic change that drives business results Supports and encourages knowledge development of peers and partners Ensures installation and construction standards are followed Leads continuous improvement and lessons learned processes Reviews proposals and engineering designs and validates accuracy Qualifies new contractors for critical areas of the business Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $91,100 - $152,450 Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan Qualifications 7+ years relevant experience Prior Facility Maintenance experience preferred with focus on building elements BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering Exceptional project management capabilities with considerable experience in managing projects Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate well with cross functional partners, field, and senior leadership Ability to manage multiple projects, accelerated timelines, and competing priorities High levels of collaboration and influence skills Technical curiosity with a desire to continuously learn Ability to travel up to 50% of the time COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for this role.
