Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM seeks to hire a Security Professional knowledgeable in Security Policy and Business Controls/Compliance. In this role you will be responsible for supporting various components of the IBM Security program, as it specifically relates policy adherence and compliance.

You will provide global support and focus on IBM facilities with the goal of ensuring that these facilities and operations have the proper level of security protection to minimize the risk of security incidents that could impact employees and business operations. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to all Security policies and processes; as well as, support all controls audits, including Corporate Audit, Client Audits, FFIEC annual audits, etc. Furthermore, you will be considered a Subject Matter Expert who will provide security advice and guidance to IBM Business Units/Processes in support of IBM clients. Travel to domestic and international locations as needed.
  • Plans, coordinates and tracks the site visit schedule.
  • Gathers all findings determined from the site visits.
  • Analyzes risk and determines mitigation options.
  • Documents and reports all findings from the site visits.
  • Proficient in controls and compliance.
  • Assists the WW team with the Risk Evaluation creation and submission for approval by Corporate Policy team.
  • Obtain approval from the IBM Synergy Executive. Ensure submission in the Worldwide Business Controls Integrated tool set.
  • Works with the WW team to manage and execute all remediation solutions. This requires obtaining supplier names, ensuring they are added and approved in the buy@IBM tool, initiate the PO and track remediation efforts to compliance.
  • Track all Risk Evaluation tasks to ensure closure.
To be successful in this role, you must have:

Strong interpersonal, leadership and decision-making skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to include evaluating existing technical capabilities and systems and identify opportunities for improvement. Strong project management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong planning, organizational skills with detail orientation. Strong knowledge of risk analysis, physical security, emergency planning, information protection and investigations. Physical security knowledge must include a strong understanding of access controls, CCTV, intrusion detection and other physical security protection measures. Ability to train and direct others. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, specifications and other related documents. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to operate a computer and related required software.

Required Skills: Physical Security, IBM business knowledge. Experience in physical security operations and technology deployments (Alarm systems, CCTV, etc.) with a minimum 3-5 years experience.

  • At least 5 years with Corporate Security experience
  • Experienced in security policy and compliance
  • Experienced in risk management and mitigation
  • Good communication skills, analysis and good writing skills

  • Business Controls and/or Audit experience
  • Physical Security skills
  • Project management skills
  • IBM Lotus Note proficiency
  • Microsoft proficiency (Excel, Word Pro)
