Supervises staff and processes within the Revenue Cycle Department to ensure timely billing and payment, as well as accurate cash applications of both medical benefit and PBM specialty pharmacy claims. Responsibilities include monitoring daily work - flow, acting as a resource for team training, assigning project work as needed, and monitoring staff productivity as required to achieve key revenue cycle performance indicators.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Assists Manager with monitoring adherence to policies and procedures, and performing audits as designated by the Manager
  • Assists with monitoring and evaluating reimbursement employee productivity and performance to goal
  • Assists with training new reimbursement employees and conduct ongoing training and skills assessment as necessary
  • Assists reimbursement staff with any day to day issues and escalating issues when necessary to the Manager
  • Verifies that all appropriate reimbursement paperwork has been obtained, completed and is accurate prior to billing
  • Assures the timely and accurate submission of invoices to the responsible payer for services and products provided
  • Responsible for review and approval of revenue adjustments submitted by reimbursement staff
  • Assures that timely and accurate follow up activity is performed on all invoices that are not paid within 45 days of submission. Responsible for review and documenting of key accounts
  • Develops, monitors, coaches and manages staff, ensuring the development of employees through orientation, training establishing objectives, communication of rules, constructive discipline. Builds employee morale, motivation and loyalty and fosters a team - like environment
  • Identifies issues / trends and escalates to Manager when assistance is needed
  • Provides exceptional Customer service to internal and external customers
  • Adheres to Regulatory / Payor Guidelines and policies & procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
