Candidate will support UNet Claim Accounting Service through project and work-order completion; including resulting accounting entries fed to the general ledger and financial data bases, along with feeds to our Self Insured Funding System.  Candidate will support these systems through architecture and design document analysis, requirements analysis, participation on stand-up meeting and demonstrations with multiple scrum teams.  Candidate will take a lead role in test planning and execution and will work up to performing lead SME responsibilities like test oversight and results acceptance, solution review and sign-off, user story and acceptance criteria creation, and collaborating with key business stakeholders to understand their needs and to share results.  Candidate will need to develop both technical and accounting expertise of the Claim Accounting process.  Candidate will also work with and provide support to other Financial Reporting and Regulatory areas, and both upstream and downstream customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Function as Claim Accounting Financial SME to help resolve production issues and support development efforts.

  • Promote financial data integrity, controls, compliance, and auditability between our Claim Accounting Application, upstream sources, downstream Financial Systems, and the General Ledger

  • Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems.

  • Operate in an agile environment and support agile MBO

  • Create User Stories & Acceptance Criteria for FDM/FAFR Domain Scrum teams

  • Provide clarification on acceptance criteria to Scrum Teams

  • Provide Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria to other domains

  • May act as temporary PO for Scrum teams that don't have one

  • Represent business interests on project work outside of finance domain

  • Ensure requirements/User Stories are accepted and addressed by other domains and scrum teams

  • Define testing scope, perform UAT and sign-off results

  • Review solutions and designs and provide sign-off or escalate IRAAD as necessary

  • Provide Go/No Go input as required
  • Maintain control of data from upstream source systems to downstream outputs at both file level and transaction level

  • Ensure critical processing and control issues are resolved in a timely manner for both incoming source system feeds and downstream outputs

  • Ensure accuracy of Case Set Up and Financial Assignment Process 

  • Report on project and testing status to business teams

  • Support project intake and triage                
  • Develop an understanding of the systematic processing of Claim Financial Data from upstream source systems through our Claim Accounting Application, and to downstream sources, to support additional accounting needs within the team
