Positions in this function include those who monitor and operate computer and peripheral equipment: review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for large-scale computer systems. Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Provide expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consulting on complex projects/existing applications, timely completion of scheduled jobs, and overall operating systems. Also includes overseeing environments health and facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity. Develop processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Document all hardware, application, facility, etc. problems and take corrective action as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as application support and administrator responsible for the day-to-day operation of all non-EMR enterprise applications within the OptumCare East Region environment including Imprivata OneSign for SSO, Imprivata ConfirmID for EPCS, and Hyland OnBase for Document Management. Additional applications to be added to the environment, as needed to support business needs.

  • Build and maintain best practices in application configuration and procedures.
  • ""
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  • ""
  • Communicate with end users and information technology team members regarding application status, functionality, open issues, etc.
  • ""
  • Assist with testing activity as needed during upgrades and releases.Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • ""
  • 2+ years supporting enterprise applications
  • ""
  • Understanding of SDLC, and ability to apply SDLC principles and practices to this role
  • ""
  • Experience in end user support or customer service with IT applications
  • ""
  • Experience in troubleshooting IT application issues and bugs, resolving or escalating as needed
  • ""
  • Experience with quality assurance testing, including authoring and executing test cases
