Job Description

This position within Tevas marketing organization is responsible for strategic leadership of Tevas Specialty Legacy Portfolio and non-traditional generic marketing activities.  Leading a diverse product portfolio, this position will work across a talented cross-functional team to develop innovative marketing solutions, primarily using non-personal promotion, that differentiate Teva across both branded and generic markets.  

 

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 
Strategic Vision: Create and communicate a clear vision.  Spot unidentified business needs and opportunities. Utilizes market insights, category trends, competitor activity, and in-market performance to analyze and identify key segments, growth opportunities, and priorities. 

Innovate and Advance: Identify markets and products in Tevas generic pipeline that require non-traditional marketing efforts to be successful.  Develop innovative go-to-market strategies and marketing plans. Utilize multi-channel marketing and non-personal promotional tactics.

Financial Leadership: Operate with a strong financial mindset.  Oversee departmental budgets and specialty brand pricing strategies.  Identify areas to improve product P&L. Leverage internal and external resources. 

Focus and Value: Lead teams to develop and utilize analytical measurements. Analyze effectiveness of strategies and tactics through ROI and other success metrics. 

Team Leadership: Lead, direct, inspire, and develop team members.  Live Teva values. Demonstrate competence in developing organizational structure, assigning roles and responsibilities, sourcing and hiring candidates. Maintain a team that reflects the diversity of the marketplace.

Excellence in Execution: Capable of project planning. Identify objectives, meet deadlines, encourage efficiency and effectiveness.  Skilled at implementing strategies across multiple channels, groups and therapeutic areas.

Connect and Communicate: Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization with ease. Develop and present brand plans, objectives, budgets, and priorities. Inspire others to embrace and execute new ideas. Enhance relationships with internal and external partners.

Business Acumen: Take initiatives beyond own area.  Draw insights from variety of sources and personal market knowledge. Skilled in various types of market research and insights, interpreting results & acting upon them. Understand digital marketing space. 
 

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

Bachelors degree in a related discipline required; Masters degree preferred
Minimum of 15 Years of pharmaceutical or relevant brand management experience, with at least 10 years of pharmaceutical marketing or related leadership experience. 
Experience managing across all phases of a products lifecycle. Branded and generic pharmaceutical experience is preferred.

Innovative and growth mindset; ability to identify and exploit untapped opportunities, especially for established businesses
Understands core target audiences (wholesaler, pharmacist, healthcare professional, consumer, and payer) and applies effective and differentiating strategies for each to build a cohesive tactical plan
Understands the execution of the marketing mix through promotional campaigns including analysis of market research / customer insights, multi-channel analytics, concept development, strategy, promotional material development and testing, and tracking measures / assessment plans.
Works to maximize effectiveness of marketing spend. Demonstrates good judgment in balancing project cost, quality and speed. Leverages internal and external resources to maximize outcome with minimal budget. 
Able to clearly and succinctly communicate brand vision and strategy to each stakeholder group. Able to lead others outside span of control to achieve strategic and financial plan objectives.  Proven ability to motivate and collaborate with internal and external teams
Analytical and project management skills; ability to provide leadership over 100+ assets
Team leadership and people management skills; ability to identify the right mix and talent from both internal and external resources, and build strong and effective partnerships.
Strong communication and presentation skills (digital and in-person)
Possesses knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing regulations
