The Sr. Director of HEDIS Quality provides leadership and direction on operational and data initiatives to improve Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures for the M&R line of business on behalf of Quality Solutions Deliverys Enterprise HEDIS Operations team. Working in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders, this Sr. Director will develop, prioritize, lead and execute enterprise-wide initiatives that deliver improved performance across all business areas. This leader will be responsible for understanding the intricacies of QSDs end to end operations as well as M&Rs goals related to quality as to put forth the most value on their behalf while working within QSDs internal business model maximizing ROI on behalf of all of our partners. This Sr. Director will also be tasked with management of relationships with business stakeholders including all communications and new solution offerings available to them.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction and leadership for clinical operational processes and technology initiatives. Manages the day-to-day operational activities by incorporating emerging needs/issues. Accountable for departmental and cross-functional goals. Responsible for keeping abreast of HEDIS, NCQA, URAC, and advances in analytics and technology to support departmental and Plan business needs.

  • Provides leadership and is accountable for the performance and results of the diverse and broad functions in HEDIS operations by managing the span of control within HEDIS Operations
  • ""
  • Monitors quality and operational trends and tracks the development and endorsement of clinical performance measures.
  • ""
  • Build strong and dynamic partnerships with key stakeholders to develop, prioritize, lead and execute strategic initiatives that deliver improved business performance
  • ""
  • Responsible for developing initiative/program frameworks that provide clear direction on the governance and ownership of program deliverables.
  • ""
  • Create enlightening and impactful presentations that provide vision, strategic analysis and strategic thinking for senior leadership.
  • ""
  • Works closely with the leaders of Uniteds Healthcares LOBs to align and deploy strategies for successful HEDIS collection and reporting

  • Direct management oversight for business process initiatives that optimize quality and efficiency in support of organization HEDIS objectives
  • ""
  • Successfully recruits and develops staff to continuously improve their overall effectiveness and engagement

  • Builds and maintains alliances with customers, business partners, consultants, vendors, providers to meet/exceed business objectives
  • ""
  • Develops and maintains superior communication strategies across all departments within Quality Solutions Delivery
  • ""
  • Plays leadership role in various aspects of key assignments & operational strategies

  • Pursues continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, operational metrics, processes, and competence of staff and cost reduction

  • Develops and implements strategic and operational plans to achieve quality and affordability targets

Required Qualifications:

""
    ""
  • 4+ year HEDSI experience
  • ""
  • 6+ years of leadership experience
  • ""
  • 4+ years of experience in quality program development
  • ""
  • 4+ years of working within large, complex, matrix organizations
  • ""
  • 6+ years of relationship management or consulting experience desired including 2+ years of senior leadership
  • ""
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • ""
  • Expertise in periodic and annual evaluation, reporting, metrics, ranking, and post-production debrief analysis
  • ""
  • Knowledge of and experience with vision and strategy development
  • ""
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems required (MS Project, Access, Visio, Word, Power Point, Excel (including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.)
  • ""
  • Excellent leadership, communication, time management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • ""
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively interact, collaborate with, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • ""
  • Proven ability to produce superior results in a financial performance oriented environment
  • ""
  • Strong financial analysis and risk management skills
  • ""
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration, Finance, Economics, Project Management or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in vision and strategy roadmap development and implementation

  • Understanding of healthcare claim processing, coding, electronic (EDI) transactions, and data analytics
