Job Description

Critical and necessary in order to achieve this position's overall objective.
 Trains, coaches and supervises field sales employees in specified geography; recruits, interviews and hires as needed.
 Integrates and directs implementation of Teva Severe Asthma sales plans and objectives; provides field perspective for departmental initiatives.
 Discerns trends in the marketplace and makes decisions based on available budgets and analysis of risks, benefits and ROI.
 Achieves sales results by product.
 Develops and maintains team spirit and enthusiasm in order to achieve the greatest impact on the Teva Severe Asthma competitive position and value.
 Develops and maintains an atmosphere that promotes safety and quality of life for all employees.
 Manages within all budgetary guidelines.
 Develops and maintains relationships with key customers.
 Coordinates with matrix counterparts (CNE, MSL, etc.)

Geography includes:  California, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Alaska


Education Required:

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in business or a scientific discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years experience of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Biologic sales management experience or equivalent leadership training experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of pharmaceutical sales management experience or equivalent leadership training experience
  • Must reside near major airport hub; No more than 50 miles

Experience Preferred:

  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems preferred including "buy and bill" model, specialty pharmacy model, payer types including medical/ pharmacy benefit offerings
  • Reimbursement, managed care, account management and/or marketing
  • Self-starter and self-motivator
  • Requires up to 70% travel
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Proven ability to develop and cultivate external experts
