The Senior Manager, Client Operations (DMD, Co-Op) is responsible for providing leadership, vision, and direction to enable the DMD and Co-Op departments to operate at optimal efficiency and deliver on commitments to achieve service standards. This person will also function as a business liaison/sponsor of special requests or initiatives identified as strategic in achieving the business objectives of the organization. Such special request may include but are not limited to initiatives which would be managed by product, IT, project management and worked by business partners and other enterprise entities. The Senior Manager, of DMD, Co-Op will ensure active participation/representation at planning meetings and will provide structured updates to the of DMD, Co-Op organization on progress and timelines impacting operations. The Senior Manager is a trusted advisor of executive management and assists with developing and implementing the long-term vision of DMD, Co-Op improving operational execution and enhancing the overall experience of Cox Automotive customers and employees. This individual will be expected to exercise sound judgment within broadly defined practices and policies and will regularly interact with all levels of management, staff, other organizations within the company, and customers. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Client Operations.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*

* *Management of Personnel*: Thinks strategically about how to establish operational policies and procedures for product execution and departmental/team activities, metrics and performance. Manage, coach and develop teams to ensure execution of all business deliverables, Key Performance Indicators, and the overall objectives of the department while also ensuring members experience the challenges and career growth that produce future leaders. * *Goal Setting*: Motivate and drive the team in establishing goals. Direct the development and implementation of activities of personnel engaged in the departments daily operations to attain organizational goals consistent with quality and delivery requirements

* *Customer Service:** *Ensure timely, quality service and high level of customer satisfaction; Manage and communicate expectations related to operations as well as projects to senior leadership. Manage cross-departmental relationships with partner teams. Serve as the escalation point for your leadership team and sales partners.

* *Issue Resolution:** *Proactively work to identify and resolve issues. Maintain a working knowledge of Cox Automotive applications, product suites, customers, and reporting capabilities. Demonstrate the strong analytical ability to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions across and up the management chain.

* *Relationship Building:** *Foster a partnership relationship with other organizations across AutoTrader.com, Kelley Blue Book, Dealer.com, other Cox entities, dealers and customers, both internal and external. Work closely within the Dealer Services departments, IT, and other business areas to rationalize business requirements and facilitate successful implementation; Act as primary point of contact for all vendor relationships, escalations, and other customer services issues.

* *Process Improvement:* Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, develop the business case, project plan and drive subsequent implementation and execution.

* *Budget Management: * Manage budget within assigned perimeters


* Bachelors degree in technical, business, or management discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

* Demonstrated success in operating multiple and diverse teams in a complex support organization

* 10+ years of professional experience

* 3+ years of experience in a management or leadership role. Excellent management skills and the ability to promote a team environment are essential

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, multi-tasked, team environment in which strong attention to detail is expected.

* Superb communication, follow up, facilitation and strategic planning skills are needed.

* Highly motivated with a focus on driving results through diverse teams.

* Team-focused, with a proven track record of coaching and development for the purpose of building bench strength.

* Demonstrated experience in organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating complex team efforts.

* Demonstrated ability to develop creative ideas for solving issues and track record for execution.

* Customer-focused attitude with awareness or knowledge of the Adobe Suite products, HTML/Javascript.

* Experience with business support software applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, etc.) required.

* Automotive knowledge is a plus.
